At a time when gathering spaces across the city are disappearing, the André Cailloux Center is expanding community ownership and hospitality on historic Bayou Road. The Sanctuary Bar is co-managed and operated by craft beverage purveyor Ann & Anthony’s Apothecary Drinks (AAAD), founded by
Taja Nicholle.


Designed as an intimate, speakeasy-inspired tea house, the space offers a calm, pressure-free environment to study, catch up on work, share an intentional date night, or connect with friends over nourishing sips.

  • A True Hybrid Bar: Enjoy house-curated wine, craft beer, and cold drinks alongside handcrafted botanical zero-proof mocktails, functional teas, and elevated THC-infused elixirs.

  • Sunday Tea House Residency: Sundays are exclusively dedicated to Ann & Anthony’s Apothecary Drinks, focusing entirely on wellness, botanical teas, and restorative daytime gathering.

  • Wellness & Culture Programming: Join us for recurring monthly social mixers and "Wellness Sundays" featuring sound baths, yoga, tea-crafting classes, and community activations.
